GAMEDAY PARKING & SHUTTLES

  • Enhanced security measures remain in effect at West Point and at stadium access points for all home football games.

  • ALL fans 18 and older must present a valid U.S. issued ID (license or passport) to enter West Point. For more information, Click HERE. We strongly encourage all fans to arrive as early as possible to avoid delays.

  • Parking lots open at 6:00am on gameday

  • Parking spaces are limited and tailgating must be confined to a small area around your vehicle. Traffic lanes and adjacent parking spaces cannot be blocked at any time.

  • Spectators wishing to park together must enter the lots at the same time, displaying matching passes. Saving parking spots is prohibited.

  • Fans must enter through the gate indicated on their parking pass.

  • ADA and wheelchair accessible parking and bus transportation is ONLY available by entering STONY LONESOME GATE and parking in H Lot. Fans requiring this assistance DO NOT need an advance parking pass for parking in H Lot. H Lot is available for transportation to the parade ground and to Gates 1 and 3 of the stadium (1 Stony Lonesome Road, West Point, NY).

  • Vehicles cannot be larger than 8'4"x20'.

Parking Pass Color Key

  • Green Passes: Enter Thayer Gate (674 Thayer Road. West Point, NY)

  • Red Passes: Enter Stony Lonesome Gate (1 Stony Lonesome Road. West Point, NY)

  • Blue Passes: Enter Washington Gate (917 Washington Road. West Point, NY)

  • Gold Passes: Enter Washington Gate

Fans are reminded that each parking pass constitutes ONE parking space.
Fans who enter a wrong gate will be given the option to park at the gate or they can exit and proceed to the correct gate.


GAMEDAY SHUTTLES

Bus/shuttle service is provided from parking lots to the parade ground/Michie Stadium and post-game.
Fans are recommended to keep in mind their lot location as well as the applicable bus route color to return following the conclusion of the game. 

Hours of Operation:
Pregame Shuttles Begin: 7:30am (Parade is at 9:00am on The Plain)
Postgame Shuttles End: 90 Minutes Following the Conclusion of the Game.

ADA AND WHEELCHAIR Accessible route (STONY LONESOME GATE)

  • GATES 1 & 3 (MICHIE STADIUM)

ADA and wheelchair accessible parking accommodations is located in H Lot. Guests with a handicapped license plate, state registration or handicapped parking pass is required to gain entrance to the area. In order to park in H lot, you MUST enter through Stony Lonesome Gate.

3 HOURS PRIOR TO KICKOFF
Black Knights Alley Opens:
Black Knights Alley is the fan fest that runs along Victory Plaza, between Michie Stadium preserved by USAA and Lusk Reservoir.

3 HOURS PRIOR TO KICKOFF: Cadet Review on the Plain
One of the time honored traditions of gameday, a full-dress cadet parade takes place on "The Plain" three hours prior to kickoff (weather permitting).

20 MINUTES PRIOR TO KICKOFF
Band Takes the Field/Cadet March-On/National Anthem:
Once the 1,000 Cadets are in position on the field, a member of the Cadet Glee Club and the Army Band perform the National Anthem.

10 MINUTES PRIOR TO KICKOFF
Parachute Demonstration:
Look skyward as you see West Point cadets jump from a helicopter and land minutes later on the field as they parachute in the official game ball and flags. (weather permitting)


CARRY-IN/BAG POLICY

All ticket holders must follow the Michie Stadium Carry-In Policy described below.

PERMITTED BAGS

One clear bag (plastic, vinyl or PVC), no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" OR
• One clear plastic freezer bag, gallon size or smaller AND/OR
• One small clutch or handheld wallet with no handle or strap, no larger than 8" x 5" x 2"

PERMITTED ITEMS

Phones, tablets, binoculars and small digital cameras
• Blankets and single-seat cushions without pockets, zippers, metal frames, armrests or covers
• Prescribed medical equipment and service animals
• Strollers (must be checked at a Guest Services Tent) and diaper bags

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Backpacks, luggage, briefcases, computer bags, coolers, fanny packs, cinch bags and other non-compliant bags
• Outside food, drinks and alcohol; water bottles and other containers
• Weapons, umbrellas and non-approved seat cushions
• Banners, flags and signs; inflatables; noise makers
• Pets and emotional support animals
• Professional cameras, camera bags, detachable lenses and video cameras (unless paired with a media credential)
• Smoking within the stadium security footprint or 50 feet of an AWPAA facility

CARRY-IN POLICY DISCLAIMERS

Security staff reserves the right to prohibit any additional items deemed hazardous.
• All items are subject to search.
• Prohibited items will be denied at all gates and must be returned to the owner's car or discarded.
• Army West Point Athletics is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property (including strollers).

ENHANCED SCREENING PROCESS

Fans will no longer need to remove watches, phones, cameras, keys or loose change from their person, ensuring a smoother, faster experience overall. AWPAA will use the OPENGATE walk-through, weapons-detection system at each gate to expedite entry and improve security. With safety and efficiency paramount in the decision, these non-invasive, high-throughput devices will also allow fans to spend more time enjoying their pre-game tailgate.
